Obituary of Georgia Ann Butler

Please share a memory of Georgia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Georgia Ann (Hobbs) Butler, 49, of Galien, passed away on November 7, 2012 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Georgia was born to the late Robert and Barbara (Bodtke) Hobbs in St. Joseph, Michigan. After graduating from high school, Georgia furthered her education and obtained first her CNA certification and then later became an RN. It seemed that caring for others is simply what Georgia lived for. Always a hard worker, Georgia didn't complain about the hours she would need to work, or how arduous the task at hand might be. She simply did what needed to be done. She will be remembered for her strong will and independence and her selfless love that always put her family first. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Debbie Roberts. She is survived by her four daughters; Amber Hobbs of Battle Creek, Areann Butler of Niles, Gracie Butler of Galien and Samantha Butler of Elkhart, one son, Matthew Hobbs of Galien, three grandchildren; Ariah Smith of Battle Creek, Gjohntate Jones of Galien and Noah Butler of Battle Creek and two. Georgia is also survived by her brothers, Robert Hobbs, Jr. of Watervliet, and William (Brenda) Hobbs II of St. Joseph, and her four sisters; Aleta (Richard) Robert of Watervliet, Jeannie Allen of Watervliet, Laura Butler of Cheyboygan, Wisconsin, and Terry Dawson of Watervliet. In accordance with Georgia's wishes cremation has taken place and the family will have private businesses.
