Obituary of Addison Katherine Keller

Addison Katherine Keller, 25, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by loved ones. Addison was born on April 15, 1994, in Paw Paw, Michigan; the daughter of Pamela (Schanz/Keller) Dykstra and Brian Keller. Addison’s life, even though tough, was filled with love, laughter, and light. She brought positivity and light to everyone she met. She is survived by her mother and Step-father, Pamela and Dennis Dykstra; sisters, Kaci and Pamela Keller; grandparents Joseph and Linda Schanz, James Keller and Carol Keller; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Brian Lee Keller, and grandmother, Mary Lou Schanz. Addison donated stuffed animals and blankets to patients at Bronson Pediatrics Hospital. The family asks in lieu of flowers that stuffed animals or blankets be brought to the celebration of life service so they may be donated in her memory. Addison’s family was given a memorial tree in memory of Addison. The family also requests that anyone who attends the service bring either an angel or a heart to put on the tree. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020, at First Church of God located at 708 South George Street in Decatur from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, January 31 at First Church of God at 11:00 a.m. with a time of visitation one hour prior. After Addison’s celebration of life, she will be interred at Hamilton Cemetery in Decatur.
