Maryann Houser, 86, of Benton Harbor, passed away under hospice care Sunday, January 19, 2020. In keeping with her wishes, no services will be held. David Houser and MaryAnne were wed for 64 years, and mother and father to Paul David and John Grant. David was a veteran of WW II as a helmsman on a destroyer in the South Pacific, and also a public servant as an FBI Special Agent for 26 years. He also worked for the Department of Defense, First National Bank of Chicago, and Commonwealth Edison Investigator. David was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and MaryAnne a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. MaryAnne was a registered nurse in Detroit, Chicago, and at Lutheran General Hospital in Niles, Illinois. MaryAnne also provided her support to the University of Illinois-Chicago and Catholic Charities in their advocacy and aid for patients with special needs. MaryAnne and David have grandchildren including Matthew and wife Kelsey, Kathryn, Grant, Gerrit, and devoted daughters-in-law including Madonna and Cheryl, whom they loved dearly. MaryAnne and David passed the same day in a loving challenge to stay together.
