Obituary of Lynn Foust

Lynn Edward Foust, 71, of Niles, passed away at his residence on Thursday, January 2, 2020. He was born on May 4, 1948 to the late G. Walter and Esther Foust. Lynn worked in the oil trucking industry for over forty years. Prior to Lynn’s retirement he spent many of those years at Marathon Oil in Niles. On October 4, 1970, he wed Leslie Lofland at a ceremony in Huntington, Indiana. This union brought them a son, Aaron. Lynn enjoyed watching old westerns, working on his yard and driving his John Deere. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and was excited to watch them win the World Series in 2016. Lynn had a special place in his heart for animals and had several cats on their property for years. Following in his father’s footsteps of being a Mason, Lynn was a member of the Saint Joseph Valley Lodge #4, F. & A.M. in Niles. Lynn also cherished the time spent with his son drag racing. They spent countless hours together working on cars and spending time at the tracks. Lynn is survived by his wife, Leslie Foust of Niles; son, Aaron Foust (Tasha Lary) of Niles; grandchildren, Cloey, Adaline, Harper, and Genesis; his siblings, Mark (Cindy) Foust of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Diane (Richard) Surfus of Huntington, Michigan; as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at Brown Funeral Home. The service will start at 1:00 PM with a time of visitation starting one hour prior.
