Obituary of Annette Kay Heron

Please share a memory of Annette to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Annette Berry Heron, 57, of Dowagiac, passed away at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Sunday, December 29, 2019. Annette was born on June 6, 1962, to the late James and Neva (Frisbie) Berry in Salem, Oregon. Annette married James Heron, and to that union, two children were born. Even though the marriage ended, they remained friends. Annette was a hard worker; she loved keeping a spotless home, and an immaculate yard. She enjoyed detailing cars, mushroom hunting, watching the ID channel with her daughter, and spending time with her two grandchildren. Annette was preceded in death by her parents, James, and Neva Berry; and siblings Janice Hall, James Berry, and Ken Berry. She is survived by her daughter, Brittany Heron of Niles; son, Bradley (Cassandra) Heron of Buchanan; grandchildren, Jayden and Jace Heron; siblings, Daniel Berry, Michael Berry, of Dowagiac and Yvonne Weston of Niles; nieces, Nicole (Joe) Dohm of Niles; Paula Wimberly of Traverse City; great-nephew, Justin Dohm; along with many extended family members and close friends. In keeping with Annette’s wishes, she has been cremated and her family will be remembering her privately. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to a local addiction treatment center.
