Audrey Lee Lemons, 80, of Niles, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at Chalet of Niles. Audrey was born on October 20, 1939, to the late Prentice and Joyce (Covington) Byrd, Cleveland Ohio. After graduating from High School in Cleveland, Audrey went on to attend a community college in Ohio. After college, she married and had a son Prentice. Audrey worked for several places during her lifetime; including, Simplicity Pattern Company, Clark Equipment, the South Bend Tribune, and Wonderland Discount. Audrey was a strong, independent, classy, beautiful woman. She held strong to her faith in God, even during the storms of life. Everyone loved Audrey, she was kind and treated others with respect. She will be missed by the family that she loved so much. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her ex-husband, Isaac W. Lemons. Audrey is survived by her son, Prentice (Elke) Lemons of Niles; seven grandchildren, Prentice Murphy, Isaac Murphy, Donnette Lemons, Prentia Lemons, Christopher Jerabek, Adam Jerabek, and Andrea Rayburn, a host of great-grandchildren; and many extended family members. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 3, 2020, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 301 Ferry St., in Niles. Memorial contributions in her memory may be directed to the family in care of her son, Prentice.
