Norma E. Worden, 84, of Grand Junction, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at her home, with her loving family by her side

 

Norma was born on August 25, 1935,  to the late Carl and Crystal (Meador) Thompson at home in Huntington, West Virginia.

 

After graduating from Niles High School, Norma married Harlan B. Worden at a ceremony in Niles, Michigan on November 11, 1956. Norma was very involved with her church. She enjoyed watching musicals, and playing the piano and clarinet. Norma loved her family and spending time with them.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffrey Worden; siblings, Dick Thompson and Marilyn Gaideski; and grandson, Dennis M. Todd.

 

Norma is survived by her husband, Harlan Worden of Grand Junction; children, Harlan Worden Jr., Lisa G. Worden, Jennifer (Dennis) Todd and Nicole (Tony) Dykstra; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, John (Debbie) Thompson, Garry (Patty) Thompson, and Kevin (Julie) Thompson.

 

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at the First Church of God, 567 Broadway St, South Haven, Michigan 49090.

 

Memorial contributions in her memory may be directed to the Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn St., Allegan, Michigan 49010 or to the First Church of God in South Haven.
