Steve & Family,
Sadly, I will miss the celebration of Tom’s life this Monday as we will be out of town. I remember, well, the years we all shared as members & friends of EUB Church. Tom was an awesome, friendly guy to, I’m certain, all those he met. It had been numerous years since I’d seen him & in the mid 1990’s as Pro Shop Manager at the Notre Dame Golf course,
following a round of golf he stopped by the pro shop. He was having a soft drink when I came from my office & he said, “Remember me?” Took me a minute to but then I said,
“Tom Weller! After all these & you remember me?” Pleasantly, he nodded yes”. Guess it was the mustache that threw me off, but when he smiled I knew. At that point I realized what a small world it was. Those fortunate enough to know have known him, will agree, he was one of a kind.
Always fun & funny through many years he never changed.
