Obituary of Mitchell Jerimiah Root Jr.

Mitchell J. Root Jr, 65, of Three Oaks, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at the West Woods of Bridgman.

Mitchell was born on April 23, 1954, in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Mitchell J and Leona P (Stanage) Root Sr.  

He graduated from River Valley High School in 1974. On July 24, 1998, he married Kathy L. Woodruff at the county courthouse in South Bend.

Mitchell is survived by his wife Kathy Root; children, Margie Banks, Michael Taylor, Mitchell Davidson, Matthew Taylor Sue Lawrence, and Brad Lawrence; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his sister, Christine Lang; and sister-in-law, Barbara Root.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Rick Root. 

A memorial service is pending.
