Obituary of Christopher Paul Ausra

Please share a memory of Christopher to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Christopher P. Ausra, 39, of Niles passed away Friday, October 25, 2019.

On March 25, 1980, in Dowagiac, Michigan Christopher was born to Lawrence Ausra and Beverly Wildeman.

As a young child, it was apparent that Christopher’s mind was brilliant.   In elementary school, as a fifth-grader, Christopher was chosen to attend a program at LMC for computer and electronic schooling.  His interest widened to sports as he grew older and he became an avid Chicago Cubs fan as well.

Christopher is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Ausra and his step-father, Daniel Blake.

He is survived by his parents Lawrence (Vicki) Ausra of Dowagiac and Beverly Wildeman Blake of Niles, his daughters, Michaiah and Emma Ausra of Jackson, and his two sisters, Karen Ausra and Annette King, both of Niles.

Those wishing to make a memorial donation in memory of Christopher have been asked to consider the Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan, 349 S Division Ave., Grand Rapids, MI 49503.

Christopher’s family has chosen to remember him privately and at this time have not scheduled any public services.
