Obituary of Siera Kalyn (Haines) Klees

Siera K. (Haines) Klees, 29, of Niles, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, following a brief illness.

Siera was born on December 15, 1989, in Cassopolis to Tyrone and Tracy (Edwards) Haines. 

She graduated in 2008 from Dowagiac Union High School. At the age of fifteen, she met the love of her life, Matt Klees. They were married on November 20, 2012, in Niles. To that union, four beautiful children were born. Siera was the rock that held everyone together, she was the nurse who bandaged the wounded, the friend who was your shoulder to lean on, and a friend to all who knew her, simply put, she was everything to everybody.  The world has lost a bright star and an amazing soul.

Siera is survived by her husband, Matt Klees of Niles; children Kirsten, Zachariah and Matthew; parents, Tyrone and Tracy Haines of Niles; brothers, Tyrone (Lakesha) Haines of Atlanta; James Edwards of Las Vegas; Tyler (Liz) Haines of Cassopolis; Cameron Haines of Niles and Jarren Haines of Niles; grandparents, Geraldine Edwards and Lupe (Erma) Castaneda; great-grandmother, Margaret Edwards; Matt’s grandparents,  Shirley (Kenny) Klees and Vickie (William) Jansen; father-in-law, Robbie K. Klees; mother-in-law, Aida Castaneda; brother-in-laws, Nathan and Tyler Klees, numerous aunts and uncle, nieces and nephews and a host of cousins.

She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Annaliyah on August 7, 2007; grandparents, Jesse Edwards, Dorothy and Virgil Haines; Matt's grandmother, Anna Klees, and her great-grandfather Willie Edwards.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 25, 2019, at Second Baptist Church, 203 S. Paul Street in Dowagiac, Burial will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Garden.
