Obituary of Dale Schmaltz

Dale Schmaltz, 59, of Buchanan passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at Hanson Hospice in Stevensville.

He was born to the late Arthur and Velma (Crum) Schmaltz on January 21, 1960, in Niles, Michigan.

After graduating from Brandywine High School, Dale pursued an engineering degree and later went on to work at Bosch.  When Dale wasn’t working he enjoyed time spent outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  He was also an avid Michigan football fan as well as a NASCAR enthusiast.

Preceding Dale is his parents, Arthur and Velma.

He is survived by his brother, Mark Schmaltz of Niles and a host of close friends.

In keeping with Dale’s wishes cremation will take place and his brother and close friends will take time to remember him privately.
