Obituary of Timothy Shane Kirk

Timothy Shane Kirk, 37, of Vandalia, passed away at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, following a brief battle with pneumonia.

Timothy was born on September 17, 1982, in Niles, Michigan to Randy Paul Kirk Sr. and Anna Marie (Yawkey) Kirk.  

He was a student at North Pointe School in Dowagiac for many years. Timothy worked at McDonald’s in Cassopolis for several years. He loved his family and spending time with them.  In his free time he could be found watching TV, especially the Three Stooges and Ninja Turtles, he also enjoyed fishing and hanging out with his dog Grunt. Timothy was lovingly known as a swell guy, with a great sense of humor, he liked to hear and tell good jokes.

Timothy is survived by his mother, Anna Marie Kirk of Vandalia, Michigan; brother, Randy Paul Kirk Jr. of Cassopolis; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Randy Paul Kirk Sr.; his grandparents, Donald and Katherine Kirk, Donald and JoAnn Yawkey.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2019, at the Vandalia Village Hall, 18035 W. State St. Vandalia.
