Obituary of Tony Jay Sears

Tony Jay Sears, 56, of Niles, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 14, 2019. 

Tony was born on January 7, 1963, to the late Jerry Lee Sr. and Linda Lou (Linn) Sears.  He graduated from Galien High School and enlisted in the United States Army.  After his tour was completed he returned home and a short time later he began to work for Lock Joint Tube.  He continued to work there until his health prevented him from doing so and he retired in 2017.  Tony thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and spent much of his free time hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry Sears Sr. and Linda Hartline.

Tony is survived by his children, Bryant (Amber) Sears of Baroda, and Stefanie (Michael Bliss) Sears of South Bend; siblings, Jerry (Lesley) Sears Jr. of Ft. Wayne, Jodi (Leo) Wenzlaff of Stevensville, and Shelli (Isidro) Morales of Mishawaka; aunt, Barb Mann of Tennessee; and many extended family members and close friends.

Tony’s family will be hosting a celebration of his life at the American Legion in Buchanan on October 27, 2019, at 1:00 p.m.
