Obituary of Larry Richard Stephens

Larry Stephens, 81, of Niles, passed away at Memorial Hospital in South Bend on Sunday, August 18, 2019.

Larry was born on March 19, 1938, to the late Walter and Katherine Stephens in Niles.  After high school, Larry went on to work at Hunziker’s Nursery.  He retired in 2001 after 45 years of service there. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Robin Whitmire; and several siblings.

Larry is survived by his children, Larry (Genia) Stephens, Jr of Lydick, Shannon Stephens of Niles, and Adam Stephens of Seattle, Washington; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; siblings, Mary Ellen (David) Ickes of Niles, Peggy Stephens of Niles, and Phyllis Ballard of Niles; and many extended family members and close friends.
