Obituary of James Thomas Williams
James T. Williams, 69, of Paw Paw, Michigan, passed away at Bronson Methodist Hospital on Thursday, August 1, 2019.
James was born on June 30, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois to the late James Maklin and Emily (Green) Williams. He spent most of his life in the Chicago area. After graduation he joined the United States Marine Corp, and proudly served his country. Upon returning home he worked for several years as a community outreach supervisor. He truly believed in giving back to his home town. James loved all things Chicago, the Bears, the Cubs, the White Sox, and the Chicago Bulls.
In his free time he enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family. He was a devoted Deacon at his church, a loving and supportive, husband, father and grandfather. His nieces where very special to him and he loved them dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Idell Parker and Delouise Willis; and his son, Tromaine Bell.
James is survived by his wife, Sharon of Paw Paw; daughter, Brooke Collins of Paw Paw; son, Dane Collins of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, TJ Bell, Jeremiah Bell, Kevion Collins-Allen, JaKya Rimpson and Royce Collins; sisters, Edna (Amos) Juette, Ruth Williams and Doris Jean Williams; along with several nieces and nephews.
A Home going service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at the Emmanuel Church of God in Christ, 106 E. St. Mary’s St, Decatur Michigan. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the church.
