Obituary of Mary Louise Shearer

Mary Louise Shearer, 75 years, of Niles, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at St Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. 

She was born on February 21, 1944, in Niles, to the late Walter and Leitha (Lewke) Hilligoss. Mary worked for many years as an in-home health care aid. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, and cooking for her family.

Mary is survived by her children, Joanie (Rod) Hardy of Niles, Mike (Rikki) Jones of Niles, and Darcey Sweet of Elkhart; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill and Leroy Hilligoss both of Niles; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Bob, Fred, Juanita, Pauline, Nadine, and Theresa. 

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Mary will be laid to rest next to her mother, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Niles, Michigan.
