Obituary of Anna Joyce Lower

Anna J. Lower, 79, of Bellevue, formerly of Battle Creek, passed away at the home of her son, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 18, 1939 in Allred, Tennessee to the late Roy and Hazel (Copeland) Vaughn.

On June 15, 1957 Anna married Glen D. Lower at a ceremony in Battle Creek.

Anna enjoyed Fishing, wood crafts, gardening, especially flowers and canning. She mostly loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over fifty-nine years, Glen Lower; a son, Randy Lower; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Myrtle Williams, Francis Vaughn, Hoyt Vaughn, Charles Vaughn, Betty Green and Bonnie Vaughn.

She is survived by her three sons, William Roy (Pamela) Lower of Bellevue, Glen Dean (Sheryl) Lower of Battle Creek and Cody Lower of Battle Creek; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren, a great-great grandson; her sister, Brenda (Jim) Greene of Bellevue; a daughter-in-law, Pam Lower of Battle Creek.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 at New Hope Apostolic Church, 6900 E. Drive North, Battle Creek at 2:00 p.m. with a time of visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. An interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
