Obituary of James Calvin White

James White, 68, of Niles, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 9, 2019.

James was born on December 26, 1950, to the late James Sr. and Zula (Sattiewhite) White in San Marcos, Texas. After graduating from high school in Brethren, Michigan, James went on to join the National Guard and later became a certified mechanic and entrepreneur.  James drove truck across the country for 5 years before he settled and retired in Michigan where his youngest sister resided.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and is survived by his sons James “J.P.” (Sabrina San Clemente) White of Mesick, Michigan and James Thomas of Grand Rapids, Michigan; grandchildren, Keira, Kenyan, Brynlee, Mason, and Makiya who is due to be born any day; siblings, Roger (Melvina) White of Savannah, Georgia, Zula (Josh) Ivy of Okolona, Mississippi, and Mable (William) Lee of Niles; and a whole host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In keeping with James’ wishes, he has been cremated and his family will be remembering him privately.
