Obituary of Ruby Jean Reed

Ruby Reed, 73, of Niles, went on to be with the Lord on Friday, December 14, 2012 at Lakeland Hospital with her family by her side.
Ruby Reed was born on December 2, 1939 in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Peter and Ella (Phillip) Rixter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Earl Reed Sr. and sister Vina Mae Lawshea.
Ruby is survived by a son James Reed Jr. of South Bend, two grandchildren, Jason and Christian Reed, three great-grandchildren, four brothers; Peter Rixter Jr. of Chicago, Al Swain of Haseltt, Michigan, Eddie Lee Rixter of Cassopolis and Robert Lee Holt of Elkhart, Indiana, special friends Mrs. Helen Johnson and Mrs. Rosie Avance and many other special friends and family members.
She enjoyed reading, spending time with her church family and joining them in worship at New Vision Apostolic Church. Most of all Ruby enjoyed spending time with her family.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ruby's memory to 1st Source Bank; 720 South 11th street, Niles, Michigan.
