Mom, I am thinking of you today and missing you. Even if I could sew the ashes back together again, I could never bring back your beauty or your grace or everything that made you who you were. I still find myself waiting for you to walk through the door, as you always did. When you got knocked down by your car accident, you never stopped fighting to live. Even though you were in a coma for 12 days, you never left me. You fought to recover from your heart attack and even the cancer, you faced it with faith and not fear. Of everything you taught me, you taught me to have faith in God and to acknowledge his blessings every day and to be strong even when life's circumstances try to knock you down. I know you are with me, because you are in me, but nothing compares to the day I see you again.

Shirley was one of the most loving and caring ladies I know. She had a heart of gold. Even through her suffering she was always thinking of others. God surely gained a wonderful Angel. Shirley was such a beautiful Lady. We truly enjoyed helping her at TCU. We were recipients of her wonderful treats whether bread cookies or candy. She was a joy to be around. I recall one Christmas that she wasn’t feeling well and not able to make her normal treats she actually hired someone to make them. What a wonderful woman. She will be missed.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Shirley, but I know her daughter Pam, and she is an amazing woman and I know her mother had alot to do with that. Thank you for creating such a wonderful person, you will be missed here, but heaven has gotten one great Angel.
