Obituary of Nancy Louise Furman

Nancy L. Furman, 79, of Morley, Michigan, passed away on Thursday evening at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 12, 1939, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to the late John L. and Meredith G. (Duff) Force.
On May 18, 1957, Nancy married the love of her life, Philman “Bud” C. Furman, at a ceremony in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Nancy worked for many years in retail and management for Walgreens. She loved puzzle books and excelled at working jigsaw puzzles- the larger the puzzle, the better and could complete them in a short time. She also enjoyed playing games on the computer, traveling and fishing. Nancy valued most the time she was able to spend with her family. She always looked forward to holidays together and family reunions.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, James Lyle Force, as an infant, Jack, Larry and Daniel Force and a sister, Linda Force.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of over sixty-one years, Philman “Bud” Furman of Morley; her children, Trina (Stanley) Payne of Wayland, Michigan, Toby Furman of Morley, Troy (Michelle) Furman of Orlando, Florida, Tracy (Jenise) Furman of Battle Creek, Tirk Furman of Morley, Todd Furman of Morley and Travis (Christine) Furman of Florida; twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren; her brothers, Thomas (Carol) Force of Paw Paw and Walter (Martha) Force of Battle Creek as well as two sisters, Susan Thompson and Nona Force, both of Battle Creek.
Funeral services to celebrate Nancy’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Noon at New Hope Apostolic Church, 6900 E Drive North in Battle Creek with Pastor Douglas Fleury officiating. A time of visitation will begin on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. An interment will follow services at Reese Cemetery.
