Obituary of Andrew Munro

Please share a memory of Andrew to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

James Andrew Munro, who was often called Andrew or Drew by his friends, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at the age of 36.

Andrew was born on August 29, 1982, to Jim and Val (Kulis) Munro in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  After graduating from Niles High School, Andrew went on to become a professional commercial and residential painter.  Andrew’s attention to detail when painting was remarkable.  He enjoyed working outside especially in the summer.  Andrew had a kind heart and was the type of guy who would give you the shirt off of his back.  He could often be found mowing lawns or blowing snow for many of his neighbors without ever taking anything in return.  Andrew also loved riding dirt bikes and spending time in his garage.  He spent a great deal of time out there cleaning his John Deere tractor, hanging out with friends, or playing with his dog, Samson.

Andrew was preceded in death by his sister, Mandy Munro and is survived by his mother and step-father, Valorie Munro and Ed Rinker; father and step-mother, Jim (Linda) Munro; nieces, Harmony and Sage Groves; and many extended family members and close friends.

A visitation to celebrate Andrew’s life will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services from Noon until 4:00 p.m.

Those wishing to make a donation to honor Andrew may make them to the St. Mary Catholic Church Food Pantry.
