Obituary of David Lawrence Fruchey

David Lawrence Fruchey, age 77, of Palmetto FL and Niles MI, passed away Tuesday night, January 1, 2013 at Lakeland Community Hospital, Niles. Born February 17, 1935, in Elkhart IN, he was the son of Robert L. Fruchey and Helen (Herrington) Fruchey. His parents preceded him in death.
David is survived by his wife, Mary (Smith) Fruchey of Palmetto FL; son Stanley (Kathy) Fruchey of Elkhart; daughter, Karen (George) Coppens of Nashville TN; grandchildren, Allison and Paul Fruchey and Jennifer (Juan Carlos) Vazquez; and sisters Eleanor Jones, Eloise Sailor, and Frances Wilson.
Dave was the owner and operator of Modern Printers in Elkhart for many years until his retirement in 2009. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge and served in the U.S. Marines from 1953-1956.
At his request, no services were held. Arrangements were handled by Brown Funeral Home in Niles.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief .
