Obituary of Tom Murdock

Thomas E. Murdock, 60, of Buchanan, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 5, 2019, with his wife by his side.

Tom was born on February 18, 1958, to the late Jim and Dorothy (Finch) Murdock in Galien, Michigan.  Tom graduated from Galien High School and in 1986 he wed the one true love of his life, Yvonne.  Tom was the most caring man a wife and children could ever ask for.  He welcomed Yvonne and her son with open arms.  They had two more daughters, making their family complete. Tom was a member of Portage Road General Baptist Church.  His faith kept him strong and guided him in life.  He was also a devoted Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed playing horseshoes with his friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Dorothy Murdock and sister Peg Schwark.

Tom is survived by his wife, Yvonne Murdock; children, Tom Murdock, Nicole Murdock, Rose Murdock, and Gabriel Rinehart; granddaughter, Adalyah; and many extended family members and close friends.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Brown Funeral Home in Niles from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
