Obituary of Carol Audrey Pappas

Carol A. Pappas, 80, of Cassopolis, passed away from this life on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph, Michigan.

She was born on October 26, 1938 in Anchorage, Alaska to the late Wasson and Alice James and raised with the assistance of her stepmother.

After graduating high school, the James family set off for California, and settled in the Michiana area. In 1961 Carol married the love of her life, Ronald D. Pappas. Carol raised six children and worked for many years sewing for the RV Industry. She was a woman of great faith and dedicated to attending her church, when health allowed. Carol enjoyed eating out and mostly time spent with family and friends.

Carol is survived by her husband, Ronald Pappas of Cassopolis; her children, Michael, David, Deanna, Jonna, Andrew Pappas and Carol (Jeff) Immel; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Forrest James of Palmer, Alaska and Harvey “Alton” (Diana) James of Blaine, Washington.

Funeral services will be held at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Noon with a time of visitation beginning at 10:00am. An interment will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
