Obituary of Rose Arlene Carmichael

Rose A. Carmichael, 82, of Niles, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018.

Rose was born on May 28, 1936, to the late Lester and Bertha Vermillion.  She was their only child.

Rose loved to paint, do arts and crafts, go to family functions, Westerns, her fur babies, being outside gardening, and she loved spending the holidays with her family. She had the biggest heart of gold.

Rose worked for over 20 years at Berrien General Hospital as a housekeeper.  She has lived in Niles, Michigan and has lived in the same house for 47 years.

Rose was preceded in death by her father, Lester C.; her mother, Bertha B.; her son-in-law, Terry L. Albright; and great-grandson Axzyl J. Grzybowski.

Rose is survived by four children, Lois G. Johnson, Robin L. Archer, Patricia A. Huntsman, and Allen E. Carmichael; seven grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Rose’s wishes, she had her body donated to science and will be cremated.

Rose’s family will be hosting a memorial visitation on Friday, November 23, 2018, at the Bell Building in Niles from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
