It’s March 2024 and I just now discovered this info on John’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with him at the Acme Institute of Technology in the 80’s. He was such a pleasant and friendly guy. Treating everyone well. Also was well liked by his students and colleagues.

My son Chris played baseball with Tad a couple of years. I remember John being at every game & he always had his notebook. He would keep score & stats on all the players. He had a way of encouraging the players from the stands. I will never forget the way all the kids listened to him. I am so terribly sorry for this sudden & tragic loss. I know Colleen, the children, grandchildren & everyone who loved him are lost right now. He is with you in your heart & memories forever! You are all in my thoughts & prayers as you say your goodbyes today.

I was in the same 1965 Buchanan High School class with John as well as the same church youth group. I remember he was a kind and good person. My heart goes out to his family and close friends.

I met John at church when we were in high school. We were active in the youth group there. John had red hair, lots of freckles, a wonderful smile & shy demeanor. John was my first date & first love. My family all fell in love with him too. I think of him often.
I was so saddened at the news of his passing.
I will cherish the memories I have of him & those young days.

John was a true friend. He taught me to ski, ( or tried to ), track rabbits in the snow, shoot a bb gun, protected me from bullies, taught me about raising parakeets. I loved John as a friend.
