Obituary of Pauline Josaphine Loggains

Pauline J. (Moore) Loggains was born on Aug. 16th, 1926 in Truman, AK. to Lee Roy and Opal Mae Moore (now deceased).  Pauline was the oldest of five children, three brothers and one sister. 

 

Pauline was raised in the “old fashion” Pentecostal Church.  She graduated from Truman High School in 1946 and married her husband of 67 years one week later. 

 

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband James Willis Loggains in Sept. 2009 and her daughter Paulettia Ann French of Kalamazoo, on Feb. 4th, 2018. James W. Loggains (Nan Loggains) of Attleboro, MA.; her brothers Garland Moore (St. Louis MO.), and Kenny Moore (Kalamazoo, MI).

 

She is survived by her son Jim Loggains (Nan) of Attleboro, MA, daughter-in-law Tammy Vollrath of Kalamazoo, as well as three grandchildren, Polly Ann (French) McCaul of Lowell, MI. Logan Oliver French of Jacksonville, FL., and Robert Loggains of Attleboro, MA.  Four great-grandchildren, Kristen Pauline McCaul and Nicole Opal-Rosetta McCaul, both of Lowell, MI. and Lilly and Oliver French both of Jacksonville, FL.  Two great-great-grandchildren, Illanna Creed Pardee and Eve Grace Crissman both of Lowell, MI; her sister Alene (Moore) Hale and her youngest brother, Bobby Moore, both of Kalamazoo.           

 

Pauline moved to Berrien Springs, MI. in 1950 and owned her own business, the “Pampered Lady” beauty shop until she retired for the first time. She was then the Outreach Director for the Central County Center for Senior Citizens for 13 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Berrien Springs, MI for 30 years.  She then retired and moved to Kalamazoo in 2001 where she became a member of the Oakwood Bible Church.  Pauline remained in Kalamazoo until her death on November 6th, 2018.

 

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 9, 2018, at Oakwood Bible Church, 4100 Oakland Drive, Kalamazoo MI.
