Obituary of James Robert Ferguson

James “Jim” Ferguson, 50, of Edwardsburg, passed away at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka on Wednesday, October 24, 2018.

Jim was born on March 4, 1968, to James and Gladys (Jones) Ferguson in Goshen, Indiana.  After high school Jim went to work in a factory until his health prevented him from doing so.  He enjoyed watching old movies, playing computer games, watching the University of Michigan and New England Patriots Football, and cooking for his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Ferguson, Sr.

Jim is survived by his mother, Gladys Ferguson; siblings, Cindy Rocha of Edwardsburg, Christina Reedy of Texas, Carolyn Larrew of Edwardsburg, and George Ferguson of South Carolina; and many extended family members and close friends.

Jim’s death was a shock and completely unexpected to his family.  They used this opportunity for Jim to help out others one last time; he was an organ donor.  He has been cremated and his family will be hosting a memorial service later this fall.

Since Jim’s death was completely unexpected he and his family were not financially prepared for funeral expenses or his loss of income from their home.  Anyone wishing to make a contribution to help the family may contact the funeral home.
