Carolyn Mae Rosencrans, 91, of Niles, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, October 5, 2018.

 

Carolyn was born on May 6, 1927, to the late Glenn and Bessie (Bates) Morse in Adrian, Michigan.  After graduating from high school, Carolyn wed James Rosencrans at a ceremony in Hadley, Michigan.  Together the two had three children.

 

Carolyn enjoyed tending to her flower garden, reading, antiquing, cooking for her family, and doing crossword and Jigsaw puzzles.  She was also an avid Red Wing hockey fan.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Rosencrans, Sr., grandson, Christopher Stanner; and siblings, Maxon Morse, Arlene Sapien, Margery Keller, Janice Gishpert, and Gerald Morse.

 

Carolyn is survived by her children, Linda (John) Stanner of Niles, James (Rena) Rosencrans, Jr. of Dowagiac, and Diane (Greg) Hover of Niles; grandchildren, Michael Stanner, Amy (Rick) Antisdel, Lane Poledna, Scott Liebetrau, Lori (Carey) Baxter, Adam Liebetrau, Adam (Melissa) Hover, and Bradley (Nichole) Hover; 24 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

 

A private family funeral was held and interment has taken place at Union Cemetery where Carolyn was laid to rest next to her husband.
