Obituary of Arthur Arnold Kaufman

Arthur A. Kaufman, 84, of Niles, passed away at his residence on Monday, September 3, 2018. He is once again reunited with the love of his life, his late wife Shirley.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Arthur and Josephine Kaufman on January 14, 1934.

After graduation, Arthur enlisted in the United States Army; he was honorably discharged in 1958. On December 1, 1962, he married the former Shirley A., Molenda. Together they raised two children in the Chicago area. Eight years ago he moved to Niles with his daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren. He would spend his days on the front porch watching the traffic, playing with his grandchildren or going to one of the local senior centers. Arthur enjoyed looking at and collecting old coins and trains.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley and a sister, Jody Pantoja.

Arthur is survived by children, Andrew Kaufman of Chicago; Vicky (DeWayne) Rowe of Niles; grandchildren, Jeanine Rowe and Matthew Huppenbauer; great-granddaughter, Trinity Ann Marie; and a brother, Dennis (Colleen) Hayes of Superior, Colorado.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and his family will be remembering him privately.
