Obituary of Mark Allen Granning

Mark A. Granning, 67, Niles, passed away at his residence on Monday, August 27, 2018.

He was born in South Bend, Indiana on September 20, 1950 to the late James J. and Mathilede (Klingerman) Granning.

Mark was a graduate of Niles High School, class of 1969 and served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He worked in auto transportation for most of his career and enjoyed being on the road.

When time permitted, Mark could be found hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He was an avid Notre Dame and Chicago Bears fan.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by a sister, Pamela (Bill) Weaver of Niles and a very special friend of many years, Carol.

In keeping with Mark’s wishes a graveside service will be held at a later time with full military honors.
