Obituary of Esther Rachel Flory

Flory, Mrs. Esther R.(Lowell) of Elkhart, passed away August 9^th 2018 at her home at the age of 94

Esther was born April 22, 1924 in Bloomingdale MI, daughter of Guy and Grace (Campbell).

July 27, 1947 she was married to Lowell H. Flory in Kalamazoo. They were happily married until his death on October 8, 1992. They raised a family of seven children and lived in Decatur MI for decades.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend. All who knew Esther will speak of her kind demeanor and compassion. She delighted in extending hospitality to visitors in her home. She loved her God Jehovah and endeavored to read his word daily. Over the years, many received her handmade quilts and are still warmed by these expressions of love. Now she herself is sleeping in peace awaiting the awakening voice of her Lord in the resurrection.

Esther is preceded in death by husband Lowell, Daughter Sandra and Great Grand Daughter Sha-Lene. She is survived by 3 Daughters, June Farris of Paw Paw, Susan Kuhl of Lake Como, FL, and Bonnie Anderson of Elkhart, IN; 3 sons, Leo of Decatur, John of Grand Rapids and Paul of Elkhart, IN; Esther had 13 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and 19 Great Great Grandchildren.

Esther was the last surviving member of her siblings.
