Ted was an amazing man. He survived Nazi Concentration Camps from WWII with his mother and immigrated to the US only to find his father had found another woman. Ted didn’t let that set him back. He learned English and eventually graduated from Tuft’s Theological School. He became a Unitarian Minister and served congregations in Washington State, Pennsylvania and Michigan. He helped to raise seven children: Elizabeth, Margaret and Virginia (Kennedy), Sarah and Benjamin (Laya) and his step daughters, Sandra and Victoria. He was a remarkable speaker and a devoted father. I’m truly sad to see there isn’t more about his life and his life contributions in the obituary posted here at Brown’s funeral home. I lost touch with him after 1980. The obituary posted on this website leads me to believe his end of life was sad and lonely. At least he was aware that Sarah Ann Laya, his adopted daughter, predecease him. She is missed. Hopefully those who loved Ted will miss him too.
