Marjorie (Duis) Rhude, 92, of Niles, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at the Cass County Medical Care Facility in Cassopolis, Michigan

 

She was born to the late Henry and Mertle (Timm) Duis on December 5, 1925, in Niles, Michigan.

 

Marjorie was a member of the Eastern Star and the American Legion. She was a waitress for many years at several local restaurants. She enjoyed spending time with her son and his family.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Paulyne Mumaw, Raymond Duis, Jack Duis and Henry Duis.

 

Marjorie is survived by her son, John (Mary) Closson Sr. of Edwardsburg; three grandchildren, John (Tracie) Closson Jr., Craig (Jenny) Closson and Tony (Krissy) Closson; six great grandchildren, Kayley, Cody, Isabelle, Zach, Hannah and Olivia all of Edwardsburg; a brother, Don Duis of Dowagiac.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Niles with a time of visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles.
