Obituary of Arthur Herman Schmaltz

Arthur H. Schmaltz, 83, of Niles, passed away at Westwoods of Niles on Monday, January 21, 2013 after an illness.
He was born on March 14, 1929 in Berrien Springs, Michigan to the late Edward and Melita (Zelmer) Schmaltz.
On October 12, 1957 Arthur married Velma O. Crum at a ceremony in South Bend, Indiana. Art worked for many years as a plumber at Williams Supply. He and Velma also loved spending time at their cottage on Indian Lake.
He is preceded in death by his wife Velma O. Schmaltz in 2004, a brother Rudy Schmaltz and two sisters Mary Jones and Ruth Sellers.
Arthur is survived by two sons Mark Schmaltz of Niles and Dale Schmaltz of Buchanan, a sister Dorothy Freibele of South Bend, Indiana along with many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in Arthur's memory to the American Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice.
