Obituary of Margaret Ann Diehl

Margaret A. (Fisher) Williams Diehl, 86, of Niles, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Riveridge Manor in Niles.

She was born to the late Willis G. and Nora E. (Silkworth) Fisher in Niles, Michigan on October 14, 1931

On September 18, 1947 she married Samuel H. Williams, together they raised four children, until his passing away on October 7, 1981. She then married Merlin Diehl on April 16, 1985.

Margaret was a longtime member of the Niles United Pentecostal Church. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was also a mother figure to several children she brought into her home through foster care services. Margaret enjoyed a lively game of Yahtzee, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Samuel H. Williams and Merlin Diehl; her son, Samuel Williams Jr.;  siblings, Joseph Norbits, Billy Norbits, Alma Havener and Gordon Fisher.

Margaret is survived by her sons, Richard (Olive) Williams of Dowagiac; Jeff Williams of Dowagiac; daughter, Rebecca (Clarence) Wilson of Niles; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Rosa Fisher of Germany.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, June 20^th, 2018 at Brown Funeral Home, 521 E. Main St.  Niles, MI 49120 with Pastor Carl Adams officiating, a time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bertrand Bible Church Cemetery.
