To the Schaefer family, I just want to say that John was a Mentor and friend to me in my young engineering years. I worked with him at A-Quality thru the 1980's. He was a great and patient man and was very much respected by all who knew him. I send my deepest sympathy and wish you all peace and God's grace at this time.....

What an honor to have known and loved my favorite uncle. Uncle Johnny was the most patient loving man I have ever met. I remember on my 10th birthday I bugged and pestered him until he saddled up Duke the horse so I could ride. I wound up getting bucked off and broke my shoulder. Aunt sudie wasn't home so he drove me to the hospital. He was so calm and that in turn calmed me. Always thinking of others before himself, he dimenstrated how a husband should treat a wife and his and Aunt sudies marriage is heaven on Earth. He has left good memories and a smile on face whenever I remember him. I'll miss you uncle Johnny and I know I'll see you again. Love, PJ
