Obituary of Ethel Marie Smith

Ethel M. Smith, 94, of Niles, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles.

She was born on February 17, 1924 in Niles to the late Earl and Mary (Austin) Britton.

Ethel graduated from Niles High School, class of 1941. She married Harlon L. Smith on January 9, 1946 in Niles. A homemaker most of her life, Ethel enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harlon Smith; a son, Harry Smith; as well as a brother and four sisters.

Ethel is survived by her children; Rodger (Sandi) Smith of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, Christina Foster of Albany, Georgia and June Smith of Niles; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Brown Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m. with a time of visitation one hour prior. An interment will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
