Obituary of Irene Alice Koenigshof

Irene A. Koenigshof, 90, of Niles, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Riveridge Manor in Niles.

Irene was born on January 20, 2018, to the late Frederick and Ethel (Barkman) Griechen in Niles Michigan.  She grew up on the family farm and helped in the family business. After high school, Irene wed Robert Koenigshof they later divorced after raising their five children together. She retired from Clark Equipment.  In her free time, she enjoyed quilting and needlepoint.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Allen Griechen.

Irene is survived by her children, Daniel (Susan) Koenigshof of Joliet, Montana; Fred Koenigshof of Edwardsburg, Michigan; Sandra (Glenn) Jensen of Fort Collins, Colorado; Barbara (Joseph) Fitzgerald of Luther, Michigan; Patrick (Laura) Koenigshof of Niles, Michigan; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Irene will be laid to rest in Morris Chapel Cemetery in Niles at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 18th, 2018.
