Art was one of the best and most kind people i have ever known. He was always so very thoughtful and generous. Always caring about everyone and everything that needed attention, including people who needed help or anything and offering prayers and his assistance.
I enjoyed 5 years of working beside him in the funeral home. He taught me all the tricks of the trade. I loved how much he cared about everyone he came in contact with and treated them all with the greatest dignity, and pride. Which i also learned from him. I will forever miss you Art. I will always have you and your family in my heart thoughts and prayers. I truly will never forget all you have done and taught me. Love you so much my dear friend. And may we meet again at the golden gates of heaven with our loving father and lord.

I am very sad to hear about the passing of Art. He was such a blessing and I was so happy to see him come into the bank. He always had a story to tell and a smile on face. He will truly be missed by many including myself. I cannot say enough about him and how sweet he was. He always brought us in donuts at the bank. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I will miss you Art!

Dear family, we are so sorry to learn of your loss. Arthur was the one who came to TN to move us up to Berrien Springs back in 1986. Our prayers are with you as we look forward to that great REunion Day - Even so come Lord Jesus.

We met Art when he was in the Marines/29 Palms. He, along with several other military, would attend church then always come to our place in Yucca Valley to spend the day. Art and another guy would always do the dishes in thanks for my cooking. Later Art brought his sweetheart, Shirley, to California and my husband and I were honored to be part of their wedding. Through the years Art was the one that kept in touch with everyone that he had known in our little church in the desert. He would call and share what others were up to. As the years rolled by there were some that had stepped over into eternity. So instead of a 'hi how are you' he would call and the first thing he would say was, "Are you still alive?!!" And then we would share. He was very proud of his daughters and his two grandsons. As for Shirley, he was always thankful for her and the fact that besides being content in a good marriage, she was a fabulous cook.
After years of his phone calls, hearing that low soft spoken voice and enjoying his story telling and views of this world we live in, I will instead be thankful that he has stepped over into eternity and is in no pain. But.....I will always miss him....until that glad reunion day.

There are no words to describe such an amazing man he was. He was not only my brother, but my knight in shining armor. You'll be in my heart forever until we meet again at the resurrection.
Love,
Your sister and family

I am so sorry to hear that Art has passed away. We got close to Art when he was a teenager, and, spent the summer with us, walking beans. He was a great kid, and fun to be around. He has always been like part of the family. It brought me joy whenever we would meet. He loved his family dearly. To all of you, I am grieving with you. We will live with the blessed hope of seeing him again, when Jesus comes to claim His own.
Be faithful, and, God bless each one of you.
