Obituary of Barbara Jean Olmstead

Barbara J. Olmstead, 82, of Stevensville, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018.

She was born on July 4, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to Charles and Marie (Allen) Hendricks. 

Barbara enjoyed gardening, sewing, and ballroom dancing competition.  She loved spending time with family and cheering on her children and grandchildren in all life events.

She is survived by her son, Scott (Kim) Olmstead of Charlevoix, daughter Pam (Glen) Greiffendorf of Baroda, grandchildren; Jason Wagner, Stacy (Adam) Abby (Lucien) Tamer, Dillon (Kelsey) Olmstead, and Grant Greiffendorf, five great-grandchildren, and a sister, Vivan (Jack) Sperling of Davision, Michigan.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Chris Seeley and brother Dana Hendricks.

Following cremation, a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.

 Her family would like to thank PACE of Southwest Michigan and the many caregivers who helped care for her the last few years.
