John McElheny, 80, of Niles, passed away at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles on Thursday, January 31, 2013 with his family by his side.
John was born on December 29, 1932 in Rensselaer, Indiana to the late Francis "Frank" and Etoile (Holder) McElheny.
He retired from Simplicity Pattern as a stock handler.
John married the love of his life Harriet (Dings) McElheny on July 21, 1956 at a ceremony in Dowagiac.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and hunting.
John is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Thelma McConnell.
His is survived by his wife, brother Robert (Thelma) McElheny of Dowagiac and sister Jessie Ruple of Dowagiac.
