Obituary of Samuel Richard Purucker

Samuel R. Purucker, 78, of Niles, passed away at the Center For Hospice in South Bend after a brief illness.

Samuel was born on March 15, 1939, in Niles, Michigan, to the late Samual and Eleanor (Neighswander) Purucker.

He married the former Nancy Jenkins on February 3, 1960 in a ceremony in Niles, Michigan. Samuel retired from the Indiana Department of Corrections where he served as a corrections officer. He enjoyed fishing on Lake Michigan, loved his motorcycle and his 1945 Ford tractor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Nancy Purucker.

Samuel leaves to cherish his memory,  his daughter, Carol (Robert) Adams of Coldwater; and his grandchildren, Renee (Michael) Watson of Bronson, Michigan, Destin Adams of Dowagiac, Michigan and Bobbie Adams of Coldwater, Michigan; and one great-grandchild, Duane Adams.

In keeping with Samual’s wishes he has been cremated.  His family will be holding a celebration of his life at a later date.
