Obituary of Eleanor Lucille Wolf

Eleanor Wolf, 92, of St. Joseph, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

She was born on May 10, 1925 in Benton Harbor to the late William and Flossie (Apple) White.

She was a very outgoing and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Bunny was always seen with a smile on her face and a very positive attitude throughout her life. She was adventurous and loved to travel and see new things.

In 1946 she married George Wolf and to that union two sons were born, Tom and Bob. She was a Cub Scout den mom for her boys as well as countless others. She enjoyed her trips to Florida, often driving herself, just stopping a few years ago. Eleanor was a sports enthusiast, enjoyed Lake Michigan, reading books and cookouts. She cherished time spent with her family. In recent years she wintered in Florida with her friend, John Soos. Bunny was a vibrant business woman, long before it became common. She was active in the family grocery business for many years. She was also employed at the Benton Harbor School system as a secretary and following retirement she owned and operated her own book and greeting card store, “The Bunny Hutch”.

Eleanor is preceded in death by her parents, William and Flossie White; Brother, William “Bill” White; and her granddaughter, Kimberly Wolf.

She is survived by her children, Thomas Wolf (Mary Jane Knauf-Wolf) of Stevensville and Bob Wolf (Judy Uland-Wolf) of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Tommy Wolf (Maria Frosolone), Tessa (Brian) Lee, Cubby, Mathew and Michael Wolf.

In keeping with Eleanor’s wishes, cremation has taken place and her family will be remembering her privately.
