Obituary of Carolyn Ellen Crowner

Carolyn Crowner, 83, of St. Joseph, Michigan passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Caretel Inn Assisted Living in St. Joseph. Carolyn Crowner was born on March 23, 1930 in Gary, Indiana to the late Thomas Read and Leona Featherstone. Carolyn received her Bachelors degree from Butler University where she was a member of the national honor society Phi Kappa Phi. She worked as a Civil Servant with the Michigan Employment Security Commission. After retirement Carolyn traveled the world, often by herself. She loved other cultures and meeting new and interesting friends. She was also passionately involved in the State Employees Retirees Association Carolyn is survived by her son Tom (Tammy) Crowner of St. Joseph. In keeping with Carolyn's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a time of gathering and sharing memories on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 1:00 to 5:00pm in the Club House at Lakeshore Condominiums; 3624 Lakeshore Drive, St. Joseph, Michigan 49085.
