Obituary of Debra Lynn Pflug

Debra L. Pflug, 63, of Niles, passed away at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph on Monday, September 11, 2017, following a two-year courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Niles on February 24, 1954 to the late Douglas and Carmella (DeStepheno) Lamb. After graduating high school, Debra continued her education at Southwest Michigan College, where she received her associate's degree. Many will recall the many years Debra worked for Jay's Lounge as well as Old Tavern Inn; her co-workers and customers were like an extended family. Debra enjoyed an occasional trip to the beach. She mostly valued time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. Debra will be remembered for her warm smile and willingness to help anyone in need. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Michael Pflug and a sister, Paula Marston. Debra is survived by three sons; Cory (Vicki) Pflug of Hampton, Virginia, Terry Pflug (Lindsay) of Cassopolis and David Pflug of Niles, ten grandchildren; Timothy, Brady, Cassy, Tiffany, Logan, Ethan, Jayden, Brooklyn, Katie and Paxton, as well as a sister, Patricia (Tom) Gregor.
