Geraldine "Gerry" Effie Richmond, 86, of Niles, passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 28, 2014.
Gerry was born on July 6, 1927 to the late Orval and Elsie (Randall) Shepler in Billings, Montana. She was one of three children growing up in the Shepler household. On March 4, 1944 Gerry wed, Lester Richmond, at a ceremony in Climax, Michigan; together they had one son.
Gerry is preceded in death by her parents, Orval and Elsie Shepler; husband, Lester; son Michael Richmond and brother, Orval "Buck" Shepler.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Melissa (Keven) Jones of Three Oaks, Michigan, Lisa (Steven) Firestine of Livonia, Michigan and Mark (Barbara) Richmond of Niles; eight great grandchildren; sister, Edith Cuyler of Union City, Michigan and Daughter-in-law, whom Gerry thought of as her own daughter, Janis Richmond-Price of Niles.
In keeping with Gerry's wishes she has been cremated and her family will be remembering her privately.
