To the family of my sweet sister,
Barb was a true friend in every sense of the word. She knew Christ in a way that some of us can only dream of. I know my sister is in peace as she experienced this over several years of her life.
Barb and I became dearest of friends back in 2004 when she first came to my house for a Bible study. She was just beginning her retirement years and was looking for a group to be involved with. I had no idea how blessed I would be to have her in my life.
When I moved away, Barb would email me everyday. When she would miss a day, I would think I might have said something to upset her, but our friendship was one that was true. We could say the truth to each other, whether it was hurtful to hear or not, but knew that it was meant to be said.
I loved Barbara very much and am sad that I didn't spend more time with her over the past couple of years. My most fondest memories of Barb was when she and Merva came to brunch at my current residence. We had a lovely visit on the back deck in the sunshine for a few hours. Another time was when she came for dinner and the boys and I shared a waffle bar with her. We piled whip cream and syrup on the waffles and she laughed but had a great time with us!
I will miss her, but know that she is happy in heaven and will be able to visit with her again for all eternity.
